Michael R.E. Kocheff, B.A. (Hons.), J.D.
Following his call to the bar, Michael practised at a well-regarded law firm in Waterloo, specializing in the areas of Civil and Municipal Litigation. Michael has advocated before the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal.
Michael’s areas of practice include: Real Estate, Wills, Powers of Attorney and Estate Administration and Business Law.
Michael obtained his Honours Bachelor of Arts (with distinction) from Wilfrid Laurier University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa School of Law, where he was awarded the Council of Canadians Administrative Tribunals Award for excellence in administrative law. Michael was the Editor-in-Chief of the law school newspaper and summered as a legal research assistant to Professor Jamie Benidickson.
Michael, his wife, Amanda, and their three children, Bennett, Meryl and Ian, are proud residents of Tillsonburg. Michael is an avid fan of multiple cursed sports franchises, is addicted to Southern-style BBQ and is an underwhelming, but enthusiastic hockey player.
